2027 Elections: ADC Moves to Court Benue APC Chieftain Inalegwu Ejembi

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged Hon. Inalegwu Ejembi to join its ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing him as a leader capable of providing credible representation for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadigbo Federal Constituency in Benue State.

Party stakeholders from Okpokwu Local Government Area made the appeal during a weekend courtesy visit, pledging to mobilise grassroots support should Ejembi decide to run on the ADC platform.

Leading the delegation, Hon. Peter Abba, Chairman of the Edumoga Ehaja Central Working Committee, said Ejembi’s political vision aligns with the party’s ideals. He was accompanied by elder Mathias Oche, Hon. Emmanuel Ape, Hon. Peter Abraham Oko, and Hon. Clement Agada.

The group described Ejembi as a people-focused politician who has the capacity to deliver meaningful development and advance the interests of his constituents in the National Assembly.

Responding, Ejembi expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as an honour and reaffirming his commitment to prioritising the welfare of his people.

“My political mission is simply to build a constituency where the welfare of the people is the highest priority,” he said.

This development comes just days after the ADC announced the defection of over 10,000 members from the APC, PDP, SDP, and other parties in Agatu Local Government Area, further strengthening its political base in Benue State.
