BBNaija Season 10: Big Soso says clash with Dede went ‘beyond the three fishes’ insult

Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Big Soso, has opened up about her much-discussed clash with fellow contestant Dede, insisting the fallout was rooted in deeper issues than the viral “three fishes” remark.

Speaking on Yup Weekly Tea with Princess alongside fellow evictees Doris and Ivatar, Big Soso explained that the tension had been building for weeks, particularly around teamwork in the kitchen.

“The kitchen is a very safe place in the house. When you’re cooking, you’re putting all of your emotions into it. There’s this joy that comes. So even people who are angry with you, once they chop, everybody’s happy,” she said.

Soso recalled that the confrontation escalated after Dede labelled her allies — Kola, Koyin, and Jason Jae — as her “three fishes.” Encouraged by housemate Mide, she challenged Dede over what she saw as a pattern of selfishness.

“I told her, ‘I feel like you’re not supportive or a team player. You often put yourself first, and I don’t like that. Can you try to help out and be more inclusive?’ And she responded defensively, saying that she is a selfish person, and that’s when our argument escalated,” she recounted.

While admitting that some of her words were harsh, Big Soso insisted the row was less about name-calling and more about principles.

Reflecting on the fallout, she added: “True beauty is not just about appearance. It’s about character, integrity, and inclusiveness.”

The altercation was one of the season’s most talked-about moments, sparking debates among fans about cliques, conflict, and leadership inside the BBNaija house.
