Nollywood heavyweights Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele appear to have put years of rivalry behind them, sparking excitement among fans with a public show of affection on Instagram.

The reconciliation comes a year after Abraham publicly pleaded for peace in the industry, calling for an end to her long-running differences with Akindele and fellow actress Mercy Aigbe.

Fans spotted the renewed bond after the two stars re-followed each other on Instagram. Abraham broke the ice by commenting on one of Akindele’s videos, writing: “Aunty Funke, you hot oooo.”

Akindele responded warmly, jokingly calling Abraham “stubborn” before thanking her for the compliment.
