Imo First Lady Applauds Joseph’s Pot for Showcasing State’s Culinary Heritage on Global Stage

Imo State First Lady has lauded the renowned Owerri-based restaurant, Joseph’s Pot, for its exceptional contribution to promoting the state’s hospitality and culinary culture to the world.

The commendation came on 29 September 2025, when the restaurant’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Joseph Obasi — popularly known as CruisewithJoe — led his team on a courtesy visit to the First Lady’s office in Owerri.

During the visit, the team presented the First Lady with a bowl of Ofe Owerri, the restaurant’s signature dish, widely regarded as a cultural symbol of warmth, pride, and unity among the people of Imo State.

Describing the presentation as a reflection of Imo’s deep-rooted culinary tradition, the First Lady praised Joseph’s Pot for its creativity, consistency, and innovation in showcasing the state’s unique flavours to both local and international audiences.
