The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports suggesting internal divisions within its Imo State chapter, reaffirming that the party remains a united and cohesive body under the leadership of Professor James Okoroma.

According to the party’s National Vice Chairman (South-East), Sir Bon Unachukwu, there are no parallel structures or factions within the Imo ADC, as alleged in some quarters.

In a statement released on Monday and obtained by DAILY POST, Unachukwu emphasized that all official activities, communications, and engagements in Imo State must be conducted strictly under the supervision of the Okoroma-led State Working Committee, which is the only leadership recognized by the ADC’s national headquarters.

“We advise the public, party members, and the media to disregard unauthorized statements or actions from individuals or groups not sanctioned by the national leadership,” Unachukwu said.

He reiterated the ADC’s commitment to unity, transparency, and the promotion of democratic values in Imo State and across Nigeria, describing the party as “one indivisible family focused on credible leadership and grassroots development.”

The statement effectively puts to rest speculations about leadership tussles within the party ahead of future elections in the state.
