Benue Forum Mourns with Senator Abba Moro over Death of Son and Grandson

The Ichama Unity Forum (IUF), a leading socio-cultural group in Benue State, has condoled with the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, over the heartbreaking loss of his son, Peter Moro, and his grandson, Divine Moro Jnr.

In a condolence message signed by the forum’s president, Engr. John Ochigbo, the IUF described the tragedy as a “deeply painful and devastating loss,” extending solidarity and prayers to the grieving lawmaker and his family.

“We received with deep shock and sadness the news of the passing of your beloved son, Peter Moro, and your grandchild, Divine Moro Jnr. This double tragedy has left us deeply pained and sorrowful. We can only imagine the depth of your grief at this most difficult time,” the statement read.

The forum assured Senator Moro of its support during this period of mourning, urging him to draw strength from faith. “Words often fail in moments like this, but we stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will grant you and your family the fortitude to bear this great loss,” it added.

The IUF also extended condolences to Mrs. Gina Moro, wife of Mr. Macbeth Onoja, one of its members in the diaspora, praying that God comforts and upholds the entire family through the trying moment.

While commiserating with the bereaved family, the forum expressed hope that the souls of Peter and Divine find eternal peace in God’s embrace. “Though gone too soon, they rest in the bosom of the Lord,” the group said.
