Senator Ned Nwoko has been accused of ordering the arrest of his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ elder brother and sister, amid reports that their marriage is on the verge of collapse.
The controversy erupted just days after Regina allegedly filed for divorce, citing domestic violence. In response, Nwoko reportedly claimed the actress was battling substance abuse — an allegation she has strongly denied.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 24-year-old actress made an emotional plea for help, revealing that two of her siblings had been arrested and detained at the senator’s alleged request.
“Someone please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind. I never thought I would do this, but my big brother and big sister have been arrested. My baby sister might be arrested as well until I return and, according to him, return to rehab,” Regina wrote in a series of posts.
She accused her estranged husband of using the arrests as a means to force her into a rehabilitation centre, adding, “You said I’m a drug addict. What other name can you call me? A prostitute? Must things go completely south if partners are no longer interested?”
The unfolding drama has set social media abuzz, with fans and colleagues of the actress demanding explanations from both parties. As of press time, Senator Nwoko has not issued an official statement addressing the new allegations.
