Senator Ned Nwoko has revealed plans to send his actress wife, Regina Daniels, to rehabilitation, citing concerns over drug abuse and her deteriorating health.
Speaking with journalists on Sunday, the Delta North lawmaker said the decision was driven by recent toxicology reports which showed alarming levels of harmful substances in the 25-year-old’s system.
According to Nwoko, Regina’s once calm and cheerful personality has changed drastically in recent months, with the mother of two allegedly displaying bouts of aggression, erratic behaviour, and recurring health crises.
“I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children,” the senator said. “We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, so I’m going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother.”
The politician stressed that sending her for rehabilitation was not an act of punishment but a measure of love and protection.
“Many people have died of drug overdose, and if anything happens to her now, what will I tell her children tomorrow?” he added.
Nwoko emphasized that his priority is to ensure Regina’s full recovery so she can continue playing an active and healthy role in their children’s upbringing.
The couple, whose marriage has often made headlines, share two sons together and have been one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity families.
