Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has dismissed allegations that she and members of her family stole $40,000 from her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, amid ongoing marital tensions.
Speaking during a live broadcast, Daniels claimed that her estranged husband was behind the accusations, which she described as false and unfounded. She revealed that an arrest warrant had reportedly been issued against her and some family members in connection with the alleged theft.
“It’s confirmed, it’s true, and I’ve verified that it’s Ned. There is a warrant on everyone, including myself,” Daniels said.
The actress argued that the allegation is illogical, noting that Nwoko does not keep cash in his home.
“He is claiming that we stole $40,000 from his house, yet he doesn’t even keep money at home. So how could we have stolen $40,000?” she added.
The development comes amid heightened public scrutiny of the couple’s personal disputes, which have increasingly attracted media attention. Daniels’ denial is the latest in a series of public statements amid ongoing legal and personal disagreements between the actress and the senator.
No official statement has yet been made by Senator Nwoko or his representatives regarding the allegations.
