The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has appointed reality television star and actress Tega Dominic as Special Adviser on Sexual Harassment, in a move aimed at strengthening accountability and safeguarding welfare within the Nigerian film industry.
The appointment was announced on Thursday, January 29, 2026, via a post on the official Instagram story of the AGN. Tega will serve under the leadership of the newly elected AGN President, Abubakar Yakubu.
Reacting to her new role, Tega shared her appointment letter on Instagram, outlining a clear agenda focused on prevention, protection, and accountability across the industry.
“My commitment is clear: education, awareness, and accountability; zero tolerance for sexual harassment; protection and support for survivors; safe and confidential reporting systems; and a culture where respect is non-negotiable,” she wrote.
Tega rose to national prominence in 2021 after her appearance on the Shine Ya Eye edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show. Since then, she has remained active in the entertainment space as an actress and public figure.
Her appointment comes amid renewed conversations around sexual harassment and power imbalance in Nigeria’s creative industry, with stakeholders increasingly calling for institutional reforms and survivor-centred policies.
