Kano Fire Service Rescues 23-Year-Old Woman Who Fell Into Well in Kumbotso

The Kano State Fire Service has successfully rescued a 23-year-old woman who fell into a well at Gurungawa, Kumbotso Local Government Area in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to a statement by the Fire Service, signed by Public Relations Officer Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the agency received a distress call at approximately 12:25 a.m. from a resident, Lawan Aminu, reporting the incident.

A rescue team was immediately dispatched from the Fire Service headquarters and arrived to find the victim, identified as Ladidi Muhammad Sani, trapped in the well. She was rescued alive and subsequently handed over to her father, Abdullahi Sani.

The Fire Service confirmed that the cause of the incident is currently under investigation. Authorities also urged residents to exercise caution around open wells and other hazardous areas to prevent similar accidents in the future.
