Leading Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has firmly denied social media allegations that she introduced a so-called sexual enhancement substance, popularly referred to as “Kayamata,” to her goddaughter, Fola Tinubu.
The controversy erupted after anonymous blog Gistlover alleged that the actress supplied the substance to Fola, alongside broader accusations concerning her private life. The claims quickly gained traction across social media platforms, triggering intense online debate.
Responding via her Instagram story, Iyabo Ojo rejected the allegations outright.
“I don’t patronise such (Kayamata),” she wrote.
The actress also stressed that Fola Tinubu is an adult capable of making her own decisions and maintained that she does not interfere in her goddaughter’s personal affairs.
“First and foremost, Fola Tinubu is an adult. I’m not one to monitor anyone’s life,” she said.
“I don’t discuss intimate matters with goddaughters. I’m a very strict and busy person.”
Addressing the specific claim that she provided any form of relationship-related substance, she added:
“Gistlover, saying I gave Fola any form of Kayamata is a lie from the pit of hell. I don’t know who she is dating and I’ve never asked her, nor have I ever given her anything for sexual or relationship purposes. I myself don’t use Kayamata.”
The allegations were part of a wider post that also made unverified claims about Fola Tinubu’s alleged relationships, including references to actor Kunle Afolayan.
Neither Fola Tinubu nor Kunle Afolayan has publicly addressed the claims as of the time of filing this report.
The incident underscores the growing influence of anonymous gossip platforms in shaping celebrity narratives online — and the increasing pushback from public figures determined to defend their reputations.
