Peller Criticizes Nigerian Musicians for Overlooking Local Influencers

Popular TikTok streamer and content creator, Peller, has raised concerns over the treatment of local media and influencers by Nigerian music artists.

During a recent livestream from his Enugu residence, Peller claimed that only a handful of Nigerian musicians are genuinely kind and supportive towards local streamers. He observed that many artists tend to grant interviews to foreign influencers while largely ignoring Nigerian content creators until their fame begins to fade.

“Nigerian musicians don’t rate local streamers. They will be streaming with Americans, but when their relevance begins to decline, na then dem go dey find Naija streamers up and down. I don catch their scope. Very few Nigerian musicians are kind. Davido, Olamide and Tiwa Savage are among the few kind ones,” Peller said.

He urged entertainers, particularly musicians, to embrace local media and influencers regardless of their global success, stressing that support for homegrown talent strengthens the Nigerian entertainment ecosystem.
