Kano Mother Dies Hours After Delivering Quintuplets at Murtala Muhammad Hospital

Kano has been plunged into mourning after a woman tragically died just hours after giving birth to five babies at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital.

The incident occurred Wednesday night, following a natural delivery of quintuplets. Hospital sources confirmed that although the birth initially appeared successful, the mother’s condition suddenly deteriorated.

“Her condition suddenly deteriorated after delivery despite efforts by doctors to stabilise her,” a medical source said.

The five newborns are currently receiving intensive care at the hospital, though officials have not disclosed their health status. Hospital authorities have yet to release an official statement detailing the cause of the mother’s death.
