A local community leader confirmed the death toll of 13 and said the victims have been buried. Efforts are ongoing to ascertain the exact number of people abducted. He also noted that the attackers looted shops in the area, seizing food items, provisions, and drugs from a local chemist. “The entire community was thrown into panic because of the heavy gunfire, forcing some residents to flee into the bush,” he added.

Kaduna State Police Command confirmed the incident, with spokesperson DSP Hassan Mansur stating that a detailed report will follow after investigations, particularly regarding the kidnapped individuals.
