Funke Akindele, the award-winning actress and filmmaker famed for Jenifa, has revealed her admiration for Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL) and other body enhancement procedures, while admitting that fear of pain has stopped her from going under the knife.
During a recent appearance on The Morayo Show, Akindele encouraged women to pursue beauty enhancements responsibly but stressed moderation and risk awareness.
“I love to see beautiful women with beautiful bodies. I actually like BBL, the skinny ones, not the big ones. I love the flat tummy and liposuction. I want to do it but I don’t have the mind,” she said.
“I am not against BBL. If you want to enhance your beauty, go ahead but don’t overdo things. Be careful.”
The actress opened up on the impact of stardom on her personal life, describing herself as an “extremist” who loves “hard.” She admitted that her strict discipline has occasionally led to letting go of people she once cherished.
“It is actually lonely at the top because if you want to remain at the top, you have to be guarded and disciplined. It is going to be very boring because you won’t have friends,” Akindele said.
Despite the challenges, she underscored the importance of prioritising mental health, explaining that she is still learning to balance personal relationships with her demanding career.
Akindele’s candid revelations encourage her fans to approach cosmetic enhancements with caution, avoid overindulgence, and maintain self-care. She combines personal experience with practical advice on navigating beauty pressures, fame, and mental well-being.
