Mr P Drops November 18 Birthday Date in Fresh Rift Signal Amid Renewed Family Feud

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has announced a surprising shift in his birthday celebration date, a move that adds a fresh twist to his long-running and highly publicized family dispute.

The entertainer confirmed that November 18, the date traditionally associated with his twin brother Paul Okoye, will no longer be recognised as his own birthday celebration day. Instead, he says he has chosen a new date going forward.

In a post shared on X on Monday, Mr P made it clear that the change is personal and final, urging fans not to send messages or gifts on the former date again.

“I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day,” he wrote.

He further disclosed that November 30 will now serve as his official celebration date, describing the decision as deliberate and personal while appreciating supporters for their understanding.

The announcement has intensified public interest in the ongoing tension within the Okoye family, especially between Peter and his twin brother Paul, as well as their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.

Once performing together as the iconic music duo P-Square, the brothers split after years of disagreements over management control, financial disputes, and allegations of betrayal that fractured both their personal and professional relationships.

Although the group reunited in 2021 to the excitement of fans, the reconciliation proved short-lived. The cracks resurfaced publicly, with Peter accusing Paul and Jude of sidelining him and mishandling financial arrangements.

Paul, in response, has previously alleged that Peter escalated the conflict by involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in their internal disputes.

The tension reportedly escalated further in June 2025 when Peter declared he had completely cut ties with his brothers, marking one of the most definitive breaks in the family’s public feud.

His latest announcement, though not directly referencing the dispute, has been widely interpreted as another sign that reconciliation remains distant.
