Warri Wolves have set their sights on a strong campaign in the 2026 President Federation Cup as the club looks to chase its first-ever title in the competition.

The Seasiders will face Stormers SC in the Round of 64 on Wednesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in what promises to be a crucial opening test for the Delta State club.

After falling short in last year’s tournament, where they were eliminated in the Round of 16, Warri Wolves are determined to go further this season and establish themselves as serious contenders for the prestigious domestic trophy.

In a statement shared through the club’s media channels, the team expressed confidence ahead of the fixture and stressed its ambition to leave a mark on this year’s competition.

“The Seasiders will be aiming to make a strong statement in this year’s competition as they continue their pursuit of a maiden President Federation Cup title,” the club stated.

Warri Wolves’ strongest performance in the competition came in 2016 when they reached the quarter-finals during an impressive cup run that remains one of the club’s best achievements in the tournament.

The President Federation Cup continues to serve as one of Nigeria’s biggest domestic football competitions, attracting clubs from across different divisions battling for national glory and continental qualification.

Beyond lifting the trophy, there is extra motivation for participating teams this season, as the eventual winner will secure a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

With continental football at stake, Warri Wolves will be hoping to begin their campaign on a winning note against Stormers SC and avoid another early exit.
