A socio-cultural group, Imo Consolidation Project (ICP), has congratulated Hope Uzodimma following his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Orlu Senatorial primary election in Imo State.

The organization described the outcome of the primary as a major victory for democracy, inclusiveness, and political consolidation within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking in Owerri, the National Coordinator of the group, Fabian Onyewuchi Iwuoha, praised Uzodimma’s leadership style and developmental efforts in Imo State, saying the governor deserved the opportunity to represent Orlu Zone at the National Assembly.

According to him, Uzodimma’s administration has laid visible foundations for socio-economic growth and infrastructural transformation across the state, adding that his next political move should focus on consolidating those achievements at the federal level.

“This is time for a paradigm shift to the next level in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration,” Iwuoha stated.

He argued that the governor’s projects and policies have positively changed the image of Imo State, insisting that many residents now see his senatorial ambition as an opportunity to sustain ongoing progress.

“The Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has lasting legacies in Imo State. Imo citizens are rejoicing for this gift that has transformed the state beyond the imagination of the populace and we must support him to ascend the throne in the National Assembly,” he added.

The group further described the APC primary outcome as a reflection of collective political will and support from stakeholders, party delegates, women, youths, and local government structures across the senatorial district.

Iwuoha said the victory represents a new phase for inclusive leadership, youth empowerment, industrialisation, and stronger representation for Orlu Zone.

“This victory is collective. It is a victory for inclusivity, responsive leadership, youth emancipation, and the collective hope of a new generation determined to shape the future of our constituency,” he said.

The group also commended the APC leadership in Imo State for what it called a transparent and responsive process, noting that the emergence of Uzodimma demonstrated that leadership should be based on competence, accountability, accessibility, and commitment to public service.

Uzodimma’s victory in the APC senatorial primary is expected to further reshape the political landscape in Imo State as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
