Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has candidly reflected on what he describes as the biggest mistake of his life, revealing that having children with different women is a decision he deeply regrets.
Speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page, Franklin said he often wishes he had made different choices regarding his personal life. While he expressed love and responsibility toward his children, he admitted that the emotional challenges surrounding co-parenting have been difficult to manage.
“I wish that some things that had happened in my life, and this is one of them. I wish I had taken a different road on it,” he said.
The entertainment executive stressed that providing for his children has never been the issue. Instead, he explained that navigating relationships and emotions with multiple mothers has proven to be the most challenging aspect of the situation.
Offering advice to younger men, Franklin urged them to think carefully before making life-changing decisions that could lead to complicated family dynamics.
“No matter the money that you think you have, no matter what you think you are doing, trust me that should never be anything that you are going to do or a decision you’re going to make in your life,” he said.
He continued by warning that financial success does not eliminate the emotional complexities that can arise from having children with different partners.
“Taking care of them is not the problem but managing the emotions of the adults who are their mothers. So, I want to tell you something as young people, please and please, no matter the money you have or the life you wanted to live, let baby mama drama not be part of it.”
Franklin’s remarks have since sparked conversations on social media, with many users sharing differing opinions on relationships, co-parenting and the importance of making thoughtful family decisions.
