Ohanaeze Ndigbo Celebrates Peter Obi at 65, Praises His Integrity and Public Service

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, CON, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, describing him as a leader whose life has been defined by integrity, discipline and selfless service.

In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta Mbata, the Global Executive Committee and Ndigbo across Nigeria and the Diaspora, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation commended Obi’s contributions to public service and national development.

The message was contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, and made available to journalists in Owerri.

According to the organisation, Obi’s 65th birthday presents an opportunity to celebrate a life marked by diligence, enterprise and an unwavering commitment to the common good.

Ohanaeze noted that the former Anambra governor has earned widespread respect through what it described as prudent leadership, accountability, philanthropy and integrity. It added that his personal example continues to inspire young Nigerians to embrace hard work, excellence and selfless service.

The group also hailed Obi as a proud son of Alaigbo whose achievements have projected the values associated with the Igbo people, including resilience, innovation, industry and respect for human dignity. It further praised his commitment to national unity, peaceful coexistence and the advancement of humanity.

As part of its birthday message, Ohanaeze prayed for God’s continued protection, wisdom, strength and good health for the former presidential candidate, expressing hope that he would enjoy many more years of impactful service to Nigeria and humanity.
