Gov Fubara Appoints Six New Permanent Secretaries in Rivers Civil Service

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved the appointment of six new Permanent Secretaries to strengthen the leadership of the state’s civil service.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Head of Service, Dr. Inyingi S. I. Brown, who confirmed that the newly appointed officials will be sworn into office on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Those appointed are Mr. Freddy Ndigbara, Mrs. Fortune Akpila, Dr. Promise Oguzie, Mrs. Ibisoye Lolomari Nwankwo, Mrs. Ibiyemiebara Joseph Uzoma, and Mrs. Mercy Dagogo Iboroma.

According to the statement, the swearing-in ceremony will take place at the State Executive Council Chambers, where the appointees are expected to assume their new responsibilities.

The Head of Service directed the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries to be seated at the venue by 12:00 noon ahead of the ceremony.

“The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are to be seated by 12 noon on Wednesday, 29th July, 2026, and will be sworn in by His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State, in the State Executive Council Chambers,” the statement read.

The appointments are expected to further strengthen the administrative structure of the Rivers State Civil Service as the government continues efforts to improve public service delivery.
