Oyo Police Arrest 10 Suspected Human Parts Sellers, Recover Skull, Heart and Flesh

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects allegedly involved in the sale of human parts in different parts of the state.

The suspects were apprehended in the Iseyin and Saki areas following police operations targeting activities linked to the alleged trade in human body parts.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued on Saturday.

Police said several disturbing items were recovered from the suspects, including one suspected human heart, pieces of human flesh, portions of a human skull and assorted charms.

The recovered items have been secured by the police for forensic examination as investigators work to establish their origin and determine the suspects’ alleged roles in the suspected trade.

The suspects were identified as Adam Ibrahim, Nasiru Kabiru, Tijani Wasiu, Abiola Nasiru, Amusa Gbadamosi, Raheem Taofeek, Jimoh Muritala, Suleiman Busari, Ganiyu Nurudeen and Usman Abdullahi.

The command said the investigation is ongoing, with forensic analysis expected to provide additional evidence that could help investigators unravel the circumstances surrounding the recovered items.

Police have not disclosed further details about possible victims or charges against the suspects as investigations continue.
