Blaqbonez Reveals What Triggered Feud With Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has revealed that a complicated relationship involving a woman was at the centre of his long-running feud with fellow rapper Odumodublvck.

The revelation comes after more than a year of public tension between the two artists, with Odumodublvck previously insisting that their dispute went beyond music and was not simply a rap battle.

The conflict became public in June 2025 after Blaqbonez released a diss track. Responding on X at the time, Odumodublvck said the disagreement was personal and warned that it should not be treated as a conventional studio rivalry.

The dispute escalated further in June 2026 when Odumodublvck made allegations of sexual abuse against Blaqbonez on social media and accused parts of the music industry of protecting his colleague. Blaqbonez has now offered his account of how the disagreement began.

Speaking during a video interview with media personality Rufai Oseni, Blaqbonez said he and Odumodublvck had been involved with the same woman around the same period, but claimed he did not know she was also seeing Odumodublvck.

“Odumodu and I were with a girl at the same time but I didn’t know she was with him too around the same time we met.”

Blaqbonez said the woman later contacted his manager and allegedly threatened to damage his career. He added that Odumodublvck subsequently accused him of pursuing his partner. Blaqbonez said he explained that he had previously been intimate with the woman but had stopped contacting her after becoming aware of her relationship with Odumodublvck.

According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck later asked him when he had last been intimate with the woman. He said he avoided answering because he did not want to interfere in their relationship, but that Odumodublvck interpreted his response as a reason for the two rappers to become enemies.

Blaqbonez also clarified that he did not consider the woman his girlfriend because they had never formally entered a relationship. He described their connection as a “friend with benefits” and said he had chosen to distance himself from her after discovering her relationship with Odumodublvck
