Former Zamfara State Governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has assured Nigerians that the ruling party will fulfil its campaign promises ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yari gave the assurance on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, shortly after returning to Nigeria following his appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The former governor, who was received by a crowd of supporters at the airport, said the APC would keep its promises to Nigerians and work towards securing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election for a second term in 2027.

“I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we made during our campaigns shall be kept. Today, we have seen him, Tinubu, as President and by the grace of God, he will continue to be the president, come 2027,” Yari said.

Addressing the supporters who gathered to welcome him, Yari expressed appreciation for the reception and said their presence reflected their support for the administration and its political objectives.

He also prayed for wisdom and success for President Tinubu, while reiterating the APC’s commitment to delivering on its campaign pledges.

“The crowd are here to pray for me and for the success of Mr. President. Our party is synonymous with keeping to our words. We pray that Almighty Allah will give our President, Tinubu, the wisdom to lead this country. We assure Nigerians that we shall fulfil all our campaign promises,” he said.

Yari also expressed confidence that the APC would remain a dominant political force beyond the 2027 election cycle.

“We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term,” he added.

Yari, a former chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and former governor of Zamfara State, brings extensive executive and political experience to the APC’s campaign structure.

His appointment as Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council comes as the ruling party begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The APC is expected to focus on strengthening its political structures and coordinating its campaign activities nationwide as it seeks to retain the presidency and consolidate its position ahead of the 2027 poll
