2027: Saraki Urges Kwara PDP Members to Close Ranks, Unite for Election Victory

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State to put aside their differences and unite ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Saraki made the call on Wednesday while addressing PDP members, supporters and political candidates at his residence in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

His Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, said Saraki thanked the people of Kwara for their continued confidence in his leadership and commitment to the progress of the state.

The former Senate President also praised PDP members and aspirants for their sacrifice and commitment to the party, particularly those who accepted the outcome of its internal processes and continued to support the party’s candidates.

Saraki further commended members for welcoming former All Progressives Congress (APC) members who have recently joined the PDP across different wards and local government areas in Kwara State.

He stressed that the party’s strength depends on its ability to accommodate differences, maintain unity and work towards a shared political objective.

Several National Assembly candidates who attended the meeting also addressed party supporters, expressing appreciation for the support they had received from the party leadership and members.

The candidates pledged their loyalty to the PDP and Saraki’s leadership, while assuring the gathering that they would work collectively towards strengthening the party and securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
