NPFL: Bendel Insurance Coach Ali Blames Missed Chances for Nasarawa United Defeat

Bendel Insurance head coach Jolomi Ali says his team deserved more from their 1-0 defeat to Nasarawa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.**

The Benin Arsenals suffered their first defeat of the season at the Lafia City Stadium after Sam Pam scored the decisive goal in the 55th minute.

Despite the result, Ali believes Bendel Insurance did enough to earn a positive outcome, particularly after creating several scoring opportunities during the match.

“It’s really unlucky for us not to get something positive out of this ground, especially after many games here,” Ali said after the game.

The coach identified poor finishing as the main reason his side failed to get on the scoresheet despite creating chances against the Solid Miners.

“We created a lot of chances, but couldn’t convert any,” he added.

Nasarawa United held on to their advantage after Pam’s second-half strike to secure their first victory of the campaign.

Bendel Insurance will now look to bounce back when they host Kun Khalifat FC in their next NPFL fixture this weekend.
