Kylian Mbappé has moved into the top five of the Champions League’s all-time scoring charts after scoring in Real Madrid’s 2–1 victory over Inter Milan.

The French forward’s goal was his 71st in the competition, putting him level with Real Madrid legend Raúl in joint-fifth place.

Mbappé has now scored 71 Champions League goals in just 99 appearances, across 11 campaigns since making his debut with Monaco in 2016.

And after finishing last season as the competition’s top scorer with 15 goals, Mbappé is once again firmly in the Ballon d’Or conversation.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Manchester City beat Porto 2–0, Borussia Dortmund defeated Villarreal 3–2, Aston Villa edged Club Brugge 3–2, Real Betis beat Lille 3–2, while AEK Athens defeated LASK 1–0.

Wednesday’s headline fixtures include Barcelona against Feyenoord, Liverpool against Atletico Madrid, PSG against Slovan Bratislava and Napoli against Arsenal.
