Nicki Minaj Follows Peter Obi on X After Reposting His Niger Security Statement

American rapper Nicki Minaj has followed Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi on X, shortly after reposting his statement on reported killings and abductions in Niger State.

The development was reported on Thursday, September 18, after Minaj amplified Obi’s post condemning the security situation in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

Obi’s statement, titled “Borgu: We Must Never Normalise the Killing of Nigerians,” expressed concern over reports that some people abducted during attacks had been killed, while others remained unaccounted for.

The former Anambra State governor recalled that he had raised concerns in August over reports of the abduction of about 600 Nigerians, including women, children and elderly people. He also called for intelligence-led operations and stronger coordination among security agencies to tackle criminal networks.
