Nasarawa United Captain Osanga Targets Result Against Kwara United

Nasarawa United captain King Osanga says the team is determined to secure a positive result when they face Kwara United in their NPFL Matchday Five fixture on Wednesday.

The Solid Miners will take on Kwara United at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin as they look to return to winning ways after drawing 1-1 with Rivers United at home last Sunday.

Osanga acknowledged the challenge of playing away from home but said Nasarawa United are prepared to fight for points.

“Kwara United will always have the advantage because they are playing in front of their supporters but we have our own plans and we are determined to get at least a point in the game.”

The captain said the players were disappointed with the draw against Rivers United but were focused on responding with a better performance in Ilorin.

“It’s not always an easy game against Rivers United. Unfortunately, the draw wasn’t the result we wanted at home. We are looking at bouncing back against Kwara United here in Ilorin,” Osanga told Toshsports.

Osanga also said Nasarawa United want to improve on their performance from last season, when they finished sixth in the league.

“We all know how we started last season but in football there are always ups and downs. This season we want to better our performance and finish better than last season,” he said.

The clash against Kwara United presents Nasarawa United with another opportunity to build momentum early in the season, with Osanga stressing the team’s determination to take something from the encounter.
