Toronto Police Charge Nigerian Man Over Alleged Sexual Assault, Indecent Acts on Subway

A 28-year-old man, Adebayo Maoli, has been arrested and charged in Canada over allegations that he exposed himself to passengers on Toronto’s subway system, with police appealing for information from possible additional victims.

The Toronto Police Service disclosed the arrest in a statement, alleging that the incidents occurred at King and College subway stations on September 1 and October 3, 2026, respectively.

Police said the first incident happened at about 3 p.m. on September 1 aboard a southbound Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway train at King Station. Maoli allegedly exposed himself to two passengers, who activated the train’s security alarm, prompting him to leave.

In the second alleged incident, which occurred at approximately 12:10 a.m. on October 3, investigators said the accused followed a passenger who was getting off a subway train at College Station.

According to police, the passenger proceeded towards an escalator, but the suspect allegedly followed and exposed himself. The victim reportedly confronted him verbally, after which he fled the area.

Maoli, who resides in Toronto, was charged with two counts of indecent act and one count of sexual assault. Police said he was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on October 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and have released an image of the accused as part of their appeal for information. They are urging anyone with relevant information about the alleged incidents to contact the Toronto Police Service.

The allegations have not been established in court. Police have not disclosed whether any additional victims have come forward since the appeal was issued.
