The political disagreement between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma appears to be continuing following an incident at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
Wike was reportedly seen ignoring Uzodinma during the event on Wednesday, despite greeting President Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries.
Uzodinma, who chairs the APC Governors’ Forum, was allegedly snubbed by the FCT minister in an incident captured on camera.
The development comes amid reported tensions between the two politicians over the Rainbow Coalition, a political group formed by Wike ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to reports, the disagreement intensified after APC governors, led by Uzodinma, distanced themselves from the coalition.
While Uzodinma and some governors have opposed the group, others have expressed support for the coalition, arguing that its primary objective is to secure Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The reported incident at the campaign council launch has renewed attention on the political differences surrounding the coalition and the relationships among key figures within the ruling party and the wider pro-Tinubu political camp.
However, neither Wike nor Uzodinma was quoted as publicly commenting on the reported snub in the information provided.
