Nollywood Actress Adunni Ade Loses Mother After Long Illness

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, revealing that she passed away after a long battle with illness.

The actress shared the sad news on Monday through her official Instagram page, where she posted pictures of her late mother and expressed her grief over the loss.

In her emotional tribute, Adunni Ade reflected on her Islamic faith and accepted the death as part of the will of Almighty Allah, beginning her announcement with the words, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” meaning that humanity belongs to Allah and will ultimately return to Him.

“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness,” she wrote.

The actress said her mother is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones, who will continue to cherish her memory.

She also offered prayers for her late mother, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her mercy, make her grave spacious and filled with light, and admit her into Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Adunni Ade further prayed for strength and patience for the family as they navigate the difficult period of mourning. She ended her tribute with a heartfelt message to her mother, expressing her love and hope for eternal peace and reunion in Jannah.

The actress disclosed that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.

Following the announcement, colleagues, friends and fans from the entertainment industry flooded her social media page with condolence messages and prayers.

Actor Yemi Solade expressed his sympathy, praying for the peaceful repose of her mother’s soul, while actress Sophie Alakija also sent a message of comfort.

Other celebrities, including Eso Dike, Damilola Oni, Rotimi Salami and Linda Osifo, joined in expressing their condolences and offering prayers for the bereaved family.
