Nigerian comedian and content creator, Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has returned to social media months after disappearing from the public space following a shooting incident in Ogun State.

The skit maker had been largely absent online since March 2026, when he was reportedly shot while filming at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State.

The incident, reported on March 13, sparked widespread concern among his fans and followers over his health and whereabouts.

The Lagos State Police Command had earlier confirmed that the incident was reported by a private hospital in the Alakuko area of the state, where the comedian was initially taken for treatment.

However, Broda Shaggi broke his silence in an emotional video shared on his Instagram page late Tuesday, revealing that the incident occurred on March 9.

Describing the experience as “a day in my life I wished never happened,” the comedian shared a brief clip showing him being rushed to the hospital with gunshot injuries and visible bloodstains.

His return has drawn attention from fans who have been concerned about his condition since news of the shooting emerged.

Broda Shaggi also announced that he would provide further details about the incident to the public on Wednesday.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the events leading up to it remain unclear from his latest video.

The comedian, known for his popular comedy skits and distinctive character, is one of Nigeria’s recognised digital entertainers.

His return to social media comes after months of uncertainty among fans, many of whom have been waiting for an update on his recovery and the incident.
