Fabregas Reveals Why He Told Como Players to Slow Down Against Man United

Como manager Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he instructed his players to reduce their intensity after taking a four-goal lead against Manchester United.

The Italian side eventually secured a 4-1 victory after conceding a late goal from Joshua Zirkzee.

Nico Paz was the standout performer for Como, scoring twice and providing an assist for Anastasios Douvikas, who netted the team’s second goal.

Como’s fourth goal came in the 76th minute when Jacobo Ramon headed home a cross to extend the team’s advantage to 4-0.

However, Fabregas admitted that he was responsible for the team’s reduced tempo in the closing stages, explaining that he wanted his players to manage their energy with another match approaching.

“I regret the last ten minutes because I was the one who told the team to slow down the tempo because there’s another match and at 4-0 we could manage things a little,” Fabregas said.

Despite conceding late, Como maintained a comfortable three-goal margin to claim the victory.
