Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has appealed to Nigerians, bloggers and fans of his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, to give her privacy and breathing space as she deals with her health challenges.
Nwoko made the appeal in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Monday amid the ongoing marital crisis between the couple.
The lawmaker expressed concern over the circulation of what he described as false reports about the actress, including fabricated announcements of her death and misleading claims about her health condition.
“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space,” he said.
According to Nwoko, his appeal was not only for Regina’s well-being but also for the sake of their children, who he said deserve to see their mother receive love, support and every opportunity to recover.
He added that the actress had been through a lot and needed understanding and encouragement rather than public criticism and judgement.
The senator also warned against spreading unverified information about Regina’s health and personal life, insisting that he would not tolerate the circulation of false reports.
His appeal follows a video shared by Regina Daniels in which she was seen in a wheelchair discussing her health challenges.
The couple’s marital crisis became public in October 2025, when the actress reportedly left their matrimonial home, sparking widespread public discussions and reactions on social media.
Nwoko’s latest statement comes amid continued public attention surrounding their relationship, with the senator urging Nigerians to respect Regina’s privacy and allow her the space to focus on her well-being.
