Ghana’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York disclosed that its officials visited the bereaved family to convey the government’s condolences following the discovery.

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa also joined the engagement with the family by telephone and expressed shock over the incident, particularly because it occurred shortly after the killing of another Ghanaian in the same city.

“I have been shocked and saddened by this tragic news, especially coming on the heels of the horrible news of the killing of 15-year-old Javits, also in the Bronx, New York,” Ablakwa said.
