Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, received glowing tributes on her 65th birthday as traditional rulers, political leaders, and prominent figures hailed her commitment to service, women’s empowerment, and national development.
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, praised Tinubu as “a role model who has exhibited uncommon wisdom, remarkable vision, and exemplary leadership.”
In a message released through his media aide, the monarch said the First Lady embodied truth, sincerity, and accountability.
“She makes promises and keeps those promises. She is someone whom people can rely upon. She derives joy in serving people and not in stealing taxpayers’ money,” he stated.
Oba Owoade further described Tinubu as a leader with integrity and strong moral values, adding that she had “a clear sense of priorities” and prayed for her long life and continued impact.
Nonye Soludo, wife of the Anambra State Governor, lauded the First Lady’s dedication to women and children, calling her “a perfect example of selfless service, excellence, grace, and kindness.”
Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, also joined in the tributes, alongside other Nigerians who celebrated the First Lady’s influence in promoting social welfare and national unity.
Tinubu, a former Lagos senator and three-term lawmaker, became First Lady in 2023 after her husband, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assumed office as President of Nigeria.
