Super Eagles Midfielder Balances Football and Music Ambitions

Super Eagles and Fulham FC midfielder Alex Iwobi is trading the pitch for the studio as he prepares to release his debut extended play (EP), “More To Life,” on April 9.

Iwobi revealed the news on Instagram, unveiling the cover art and a nine-track tracklist, giving fans a first glimpse into his musical journey. The EP will feature a blend of solo performances and collaborations with artists including 24am, Teniola Time, Gidi, Fido, and SPKS, while two tracks will showcase Iwobi solo, highlighting his confidence as a recording artist.

From Footballer to Music Collaborator

Iwobi is not entirely new to music. He previously collaborated with Chuba Akpom (Skoli) and British rapper Ramz on the track Hop Out, signalling his early interest in pursuing music alongside his football career.

Despite his musical ambitions, Iwobi remains a key player for Fulham, contributing four goals and three assists in the Premier League this season. He recently received a straight red card during Nigeria’s 2-2 draw against Jordan but will return to England to help Fulham maintain their ninth-place league standing, ahead of their trip to Anfield this Saturday.

“Music is another way I express myself,” Iwobi said in a recent social media post. “I’m excited to share this part of my life with fans around the world.”

The release of More To Life marks a major step in Iwobi’s dual career, blending his athletic fame with growing credibility in the music industry.
