Annie Macaulay Clarifies: ‘I’m Not a Single Mom, Just a Single Woman Raising Two Kids’

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has set the record straight about her status following her separation from singer 2Face Idibia, insisting she is not a “single mom” but a single woman raising her two daughters.

On her Instagram, Macaulay wrote: “I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids,” emphasizing her independence and role as a parent.

Marriage, Separation, and Public Scrutiny

The couple, who married in 2012, share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia Idibia. Their 13-year marriage faced public attention, especially after 2Face announced their separation in late January 2025, citing that the marriage had not been working for a long time.

Shortly after, 2Face introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawuru as his new partner. Annie briefly removed his surname from her social media handles but later reinstated it, maintaining a connection to her family identity.

Despite the separation, Annie currently has custody of their daughters and continues to balance motherhood with her career, asserting her identity as a single woman rather than the often-used label of “single mom.”

Her statement has sparked conversations about how women define themselves post-separation, particularly in the public eye.
