Armed Robbers Storm Adegbodu Twins’ Home Days After Taiwo’s Burial, Kehinde Raises Alarm Over Safety

Fear has gripped the family of the popular Nigerian gospel music duo, Adegbodu Twins, after armed men reportedly invaded their residence just days after the burial of one half of the group, Taiwo Adegbodu.

The attack, which occurred on Tuesday night around 9pm, has left the surviving twin, Kehinde Adegbodu, raising urgent concerns over the safety of his family following the tragic and emotionally charged period.

Taiwo Adegbodu, who passed away on March 1, 2026, after suffering a heart attack, was laid to rest on March 31, a ceremony that had drawn sympathy and support from fans and well-wishers across the country.

According to Kehinde, the attackers stormed the family home and carted away valuables including clothes, shoes, phones, and gold items, plunging the household into further distress.

Speaking in a video shared online on Thursday, he explained that he was away in Osun State when the incident occurred, adding that he rushed back immediately after receiving a distress call from his late brother’s wife.

He further alleged that one of the attackers was heard making phone calls during the operation, claiming that Kehinde was not at home and that no cash was found inside the residence, a detail that has fuelled suspicion about the motive behind the invasion.

Kehinde also addressed speculation surrounding funds donated for Taiwo’s burial, insisting he does not have access to any remaining money. He explained that the donations had already been used for burial arrangements and completing an unfinished building where his brother was interred.

The singer expressed deep concern for his family’s safety, revealing that children and relatives were left terrified during the invasion, as armed men reportedly wielded guns inside the home.

He appealed for understanding and forgiveness from anyone who may feel offended by him, stressing that his priority now is the safety of his family and not public misunderstanding or controversy.

The incident has sparked renewed concern among fans, with many calling for increased protection for public figures and grieving families who may become vulnerable during high-profile mourning periods.
