Former Big Brother Naija star and actress, Victoria Iye, popularly known as Vee, has opened up about her cautious approach to relationships, stressing that one of her life’s priorities is to avoid having a child with “the wrong man.”
The reality TV personality admitted that dating in Lagos is especially challenging and said she does not want to end up in a situation where a baby daddy could use hurtful words against her.
Speaking during a recent broadcast, Vee explained:
“It is my mission in life to avoid the wrong man getting me pregnant. And it’s not to say I’m better than the women that have been in that position. It’s simply because I know myself. I know what I’m like, and I try to avoid situations that could put me in a state of psychosis.”
She added that her determination to protect herself sometimes makes it harder to find love:
“I’m passionate about not getting f*cked over and maybe that is what stops me from finding unapologetic love. I’m stubborn. I’m hard-headed. But I’m not stupid. When it comes to choosing a life partner, I need to try my best to get it right. You can’t know someone 100 per cent, but you can try.”
Vee also pointed out that she learns from other people’s experiences rather than putting herself in harmful situations, noting that the internet provides enough stories for her to avoid making the same mistakes.
