Cancer Survivor Breaks Silence as Blessing CEO Accused of Faking Medical Report

Deborah Mbara, a cancer survivor and make-up artist, has spoken out following allegations that Blessing CEO, a controversial relationship expert, doctored her medical report to support a claim of stage 4 breast cancer.

The controversy erupted after Blessing CEO shared a medical report online to substantiate her cancer diagnosis while soliciting financial assistance from the public. The report, allegedly issued by Xinus Medical Diagnostics and signed by consultant pathologist Dr. O.A. Odigwe, was later accused of being altered. Xinus Medical Diagnostics confirmed that the original report belonged to Mbara and had been issued in May 2025.

In a video shared on Instagram, Mbara explained that Blessing CEO had personally asked her for a copy of her medical report. “Sometime last year, Blessing CEO was in Asaba, and I was her makeup artist. Fast forward to last week, when she started crying that she had cancer, and sold off her properties. My friend reached out to her to check up on her. And we even got a doctor on the call to help us educate her and encourage her,” she said.

Mbara said she agreed to share her report, believing she was helping someone in need. “Then she said, ‘Zazi, can you just please help me send the report of when you were diagnosed so I could compare it with the one my doctor gave to me.’ I said ok, no problem. Only for me to see it on the Internet on Friday that it was my result that she doctored to back up the nonsense and money people were donating to her,” she added.

She further revealed that Blessing CEO later visited her family in Asaba to plead with them, denying any prior connection. “She said she doesn’t know me and has never spoken to any of my family. But she was in Asaba on Monday to beg my husband and my family. And my husband told her to tender a public apology on social media and confess how everything happened. I thought I was helping someone in need, not knowing she had a different agenda. This is evil,” Mbara said.

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) had earlier called for the arrest of Blessing CEO for allegedly falsifying medical documents, heightening public scrutiny and outrage over the incident.
