Charly Boy Launches Search for Wife for 46-Year-Old Son, Lists Strict Qualifications

Maverick singer and activist Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has sparked conversations online after announcing he is searching for a wife for his 46-year-old son.

In a post shared on X, the entertainer revealed that his son, who holds a master’s degree and stands 5ft 11ins tall, was previously married but divorced — and now appears “afraid of women.”

Charly Boy outlined clear criteria for potential applicants, stressing that only women from “good homes with humble beginnings” and “authentic graduates” should consider applying.

He wrote: “My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman. Biko, if you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me. He is coming next month. He is a master’s degree holder, age 46, 5ft 11ins. Very humble. If you’re not an authentic graduate, don’t bother. I need to tie him to Nigeria.”

The activist added that his son will be returning to Nigeria next month, expressing his desire to see him “tied” to the country through marriage.
