Dr. Ifeanyi Onyema Urges Ohaji/Egbema PDP Members to Stay Loyal as Party Stages Comeback

Dr. Ifeanyi Onyema has called on leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area to remain steadfast and committed, describing the party as “gradually making a formidable comeback.”

Addressing journalists in Owerri, the philanthropist and medical doctor emphasized the importance of discipline, ideology, and grassroots engagement in maintaining the PDP’s relevance in Nigeria’s political landscape.

“Loyalty to the party is not merely a matter of convenience; it is a shared responsibility that ensures the PDP remains a credible platform for governance, accountability, and democratic engagement,” Onyema said.

Highlighting the strategic importance of Ohaji/Egbema LGA, he encouraged members to view this period as an opportunity for renewal and growth, urging the strengthening of grassroots structures, youth empowerment, and community-focused initiatives.

“This is our time to showcase the strength and vision of Ohaji/Egbema. By remaining committed, we can ensure our local structures thrive, youth are empowered, and communities benefit from sustainable development,” he added.

Onyema acknowledged the contributions of key PDP leaders in the LGA, including Chairman Hon. Emeka Alihie, Apex Leader Hon. Barr. Golden Nwosu, Zonal Chairman Hon. Carl Nwokoma, and others, praising their dedication to the party’s progress.

He also expressed confidence in Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu’s leadership as Secretary of the PDP Caretaker Committee, urging members to align with the party’s national vision and actively contribute to its consolidation and local development efforts.
