Drama in Abuja hotel as BBNaija star Phyna clashes over alleged ₦200,000 debt

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, reportedly caused a scene at a hotel in Abuja following an alleged ₦200,000 financial dispute.

Eyewitnesses said the altercation began in the early hours of Tuesday inside Phyna’s hotel room before spilling into the lobby, drawing the attention of guests, hotel staff, and security personnel.

Sources claimed the disagreement stemmed from an unsettled ₦200,000 payment, which quickly escalated into a heated shouting match. The confrontation allegedly turned physical after more individuals connected to both parties joined the fray, creating chaos in the hotel premises.

Security officers and police operatives were later called in to calm the situation, with teargas reportedly used to disperse the crowd.

The viral video circulating on social media shows a visibly agitated Phyna being restrained by onlookers as voices of other guests filled the background.

The incident comes just weeks after Phyna made a public return following the tragic death of her sister, who was killed in a road accident involving a Dangote truck.

Neither Phyna nor her management has issued an official statement on the matter as of the time of filing this report.
