Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has called on residents of Zamfara State to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urging them to unite under the party’s vision to address Nigeria’s growing security and economic challenges.
Speaking to a crowd of supporters in Gusau on Sunday, El-Rufai said the ADC offers a fresh and credible platform capable of restoring peace, improving food security, and reviving the economy in Zamfara and across the country.
“Our people deserve safety, jobs, and hope,” El-Rufai said. “The ADC is ready to deliver a new kind of leadership that listens to the people and puts their needs first.”
He encouraged party members to remain united, avoid internal sabotage, and work closely with youths and women’s groups to spread the party’s message at the grassroots level. He also reminded eligible voters to secure their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC’s Deputy National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Atiku, described El-Rufai’s visit as “a morale booster” that would strengthen the party’s base and foster cooperation among its members in Zamfara.
Similarly, State ADC Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, said the event attracted participants from all 14 local government areas, adding that the ADC’s presence in the state was expanding rapidly.
The gathering drew a mix of politicians, Islamic scholars, community leaders, women, and young people, signalling growing interest in the party’s message of reform and unity.
