Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has sparked widespread reactions after publicly celebrating her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, during their son King Andre’s 10th birthday party in Abuja.
A video from the event, now trending across social media platforms, shows the actress offering heartfelt prayers for Churchill, declaring blessings over his life, business and family.
“You are an amazing father, thank you so much,” she said.
“Your businesses will flourish; whoever curses you shall be cursed. I love you with the love of God.”
Dikeh and Churchill’s relationship was once among Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity marriages before their highly publicised separation in 2017. Their split played out in the public eye, drawing intense media scrutiny and social media debate.
However, in recent months, Dikeh revealed that both parties had reconciled and “buried the hatchet,” signalling a new chapter focused on co-parenting their son.
At the birthday celebration, she spoke warmly about the bond between Churchill and King Andre, emphasising that their son holds deep admiration for his father.
Beyond praising Churchill’s role as a father, Dikeh extended prayers to his household, including his other children, wishing them success and divine favour.
“I pray for your family. I pray for your business. I pray for all the children. They will progress. Failure will not meet them. Everything that they touch will be blessed,” she said.
“God will go before them and make every crooked path straight. Your business is replenished.”
The public show of unity has drawn attention given Churchill’s current marriage to actress Rosy Meurer. He formally introduced Meurer as his wife in 2021, and the couple share two children together.
Churchill previously dismissed rumours of marital challenges in 2023, while Meurer has publicly expressed strong support for her husband.
Clips from the celebration have continued to circulate online, with many praising the maturity displayed by both parents in prioritising their child despite their past differences.
The moment marks a significant shift in one of Nigeria’s most closely followed celebrity relationships — from public conflict to visible reconciliation.
