Iran Fires Multiple Waves of Ballistic Missiles at Israel as Middle East Conflict Intensifies

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated sharply after Iran launched multiple waves of ballistic missile attacks on Israel, targeting dozens of locations within a short time frame.

Emergency responders confirmed they were deployed to the scene of at least one strike in Kfar Qassem, northeast of Tel Aviv, where six people were reported injured.

Iranian military sources claimed that no fewer than 70 targets were struck during the barrage, which unfolded in five separate waves over roughly two hours on Thursday morning.

Cycle of Retaliation Deepens

The latest assault follows recent Israeli military operations inside Iran. According to Israeli officials, airstrikes earlier this week targeted strategic sites in Tehran, including facilities linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ intelligence arm and the country’s Intelligence Ministry.

Israeli authorities said more than 50 additional locations were hit overnight, including ballistic missile storage facilities and launch infrastructure.

Conflict Rooted in Escalating Hostilities

The current wave of violence is part of a broader and intensifying confrontation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

The crisis reportedly began in late February following coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian targets, which, according to reports, resulted in the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader along with several others.

Since then, Iran has carried out repeated retaliatory attacks on U.S. interests across the Middle East, as well as on Israeli territory, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.

Global Concerns Mount

The rapid escalation has sparked international concern, with fears growing over the potential for a prolonged and broader war in the region.

Diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation are ongoing, but with both sides continuing military operations, the path to a ceasefire remains uncertain.
