Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has publicly blamed actress Toyin Abraham for breaking the peace agreement she had previously brokered between Toyin and Funke Akindele, following a snub at Ojo’s latest movie premiere.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, drew widespread attention on social media as fans debated the dynamics between the industry veterans.
In a candid Instagram post, Iyabo Ojo explained that she had mediated reconciliation between the actresses months ago, with a key condition: disputes were to be handled privately, and neither party should engage in public online quarrels.
“Unfortunately, Toyin made some complaints about her movie in cinemas claiming some people or person was trying to sabotage her. Some fans pointed accusing fingers towards Funke, that sparked up a fresh beef,” Iyabo stated.
Ojo detailed the efforts she invested in settling the actresses’ past disputes, including emotional appeals to embrace peace. She noted that the two were recently seen interacting cordially.
“I tried my very best to settle both of them, cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace which they both later did,” she said.
However, Ojo expressed exasperation at the recurring tensions, emphasizing that she no longer wants to be involved in their disputes.
“I honestly don’t want to get involved anymore. Please, you all should respect that,” she added.
The public fallout has sparked heated discussions online, with many calling for professional maturity and caution against letting personal conflicts overshadow industry collaboration.
